TBS Ship Newbuilding Project Management System(PMS) is proprietary software developed and maintained by TBSMARINE (TBS team), it interfaced with other TBS software systems, such as the HR system, and information systems, etc. In this issue, we built a set of supervise methodology and system to support our client - shipowner, TBS and our siteoffice supervisors to manage and monitor the process of ship building.
At present PMS includes on-line contact, planning, task, meeting, work attendance, patrolling inspection, daily inspection, owner’s comments, photos and files management, construction status, construction history, supervision data analysis, quality trend analysis, rules and standards search, export customized data etc.

Supervisors only need to input their inspection items and comments, PMS can real-time generate all kinds of list, report, diagram, trend analysis, etc. Ship owner can log in PMS with special group user and check the real-time and any period project construction status and even participate in the on-site supervision.

Traceability is an integral part of the PMS. During the construction of the project, PMS can automatically provide various forms as per user’s profession. Users need to collect and input daily supervision data as much as possible. Those original data is to be used in all kinds of statistics reports after processing by PMS.

Clear procedure: On PMS desktop, there are various information you need to know. You can find your daily works in your working calendar no matter they are temporary or long-term.
Normal users can only see their own inspection applications, but the managers can see all the applications or assign anyone’s job. Everyone’s working load is obvious and the diagram generated automatically for manager’s evaluation, analysis and decision.

All the project data can be exported to EXCEL, PDF, WORD format. You can customize the report format by simply choose the report parameters and click CREATE.

When you manually create a report parameter and bind it to this field, users can filter report data by day of the week. you can create a custom filter rule for exporting data to Excel, PDF, WORD. At present, PMS can provide the following reports:

All the data are stored in the server under centralized management and united backup. Flexible file directory and filing system are helpful to your daily filing work. By configuring access control policy, all the users can only perform the authorized operations.

Standards searching system is to be changed from present ship standards inquiry and download system to public standard searching platform. The new system, major users are all the supervisors in China, is under construction and will be accomplished in early 2015.
